Unemployment Benefit Calculation
Daily unemployment benefit is calculated as 40% of the insured’s average daily gross earnings, taking into account the premium-based earnings of the last four months.
The amount of unemployment benefit calculated in this way cannot exceed 80% of the gross amount of the monthly minimum wage.

How many months can unemployment benefit be received?

- For those who pay premium for 600 days: 180 days
- For those who pay 900 days of premium: 240 days

How to Apply for Unemployment Benefits?
Applying for unemployment benefits is a process that must be done after leaving a job. The application process includes these steps:
- Application for salary must be made within 30 days of leaving employment.
- Application can be made in person to the nearest İSKUR unit. Additionally, you can apply electronically via E-Devlet or İSKUR‘s official website.
Post-Application Process:
After the application is made, the job seeker registration is made or updated by İŞKUR.
In order to receive the salary, the insured unemployed person must be ready to take a job and participate in the consultancy, job placement and vocational training services offered by İŞKUR.
When Can Unemployment Benefit Be Received?
After the salary application is approved, the first payment is usually finalized by the end of the month following the application and is paid to the unemployed person monthly on the fifth of each month.
Under what circumstances is unemployment benefit cut?

- If the person receiving unemployment benefit does not update his/her job seeker registration or does not participate in the consultancy, job placement and vocational training services offered by İSKUR, his/her benefit will be cut.
